Q. How many people are needed to take a Diamond Tours® Trip?
A. The minimum number is 30. If you don't reach the minimum, contact us if you still want to experience your trip. There is a possibility that your group can be combined with another group.
Q. Are there stops scheduled during the trip?
A. Yes. Drivers stop every two to two and one-half hours. This gives the group an opportunity to stretch their legs, get a snack or non-alcoholic drink if they wish, and use the restroom before returning to the #motorcoach.
Q. Can we drive thru the night so we can get to our destination in the morning?
A. No. Federal regulations require that our drivers cannot be driving for more than 10 hours. All Diamond Tours® trips are designed to have a daily drive time of 9 hours and 15 minutes or less. Safety is our Number One Priority!
Q. What if one of my participants needs to cancel?
A. As long as the travelers cancels at least 2 weeks before the trip and as the number of remaining participants stays at 30 or more, a refund will be honored by Diamond Tours®. Also, if the entire group is cancelled and not re-booked at the time of cancellation, R & L Group LLC reserved the right to impose a separate cancellation fee equal to the first deposit from the trip per person.
Q. When should our participants pay their insurance premium?
A. Your group members should pay their premiums at the time they are making their first payment for the tour. This creates eligibility for the "Pre-Existing Conditions" aspect of the coverage. If they pay the premium more than 14 days afterwards, please make it a point to inform all of your participants that the "Pre-Existing Conditions" portion of the policy WILL NOT APPLY.
Q. What happens if inclement weather (i.e. snow, tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, etc.) causes our trip to cancel?
A. Diamond Tours® will NEVER place you or your participants in harm's way. We will do everything possible to re-schedule your trip, without penalty, to take place at another time. If we cancel your trip and it is not possible to reschedule, you will receive a full refund. No cancellations fees will be charged by R and L Group LLC in case of inclement weather resulting in cancellation or re-scheduling.
Q. What about luggage handling?
A. Diamond Tours® provides luggage handling at all destination #hotels. It is strongly suggested that for en-route locations (overnight stays for trips taking longer than 9 hours and 15 minutes) participants bring "carry-on" luggage packed with sleeping apparel, toiletries, and most importantly, #medications.
Q. What if my group prefers not to visit #casinos?
A. Every Diamond Tours® trip carries an alternative activity in the destination area for groups to choose not to visit a casino.
Q. What if I have an emergency while on the road or at my destination?
A. Prior to taking your trip, you will receive a list of mobile phones for all available Diamond Tours® Destination Managers. They are available for most destinations only if an emergency arises during the course of your tour.
Q. Is tipping included?
A. All gratuities for planned meals are included. However, we suggest that you build into the cost of your trip an appropriate gratuity for your drive and any step-on tours guides. The R & L Group will be happy to assist you in this.
